Egypt in 14 Days: Standard Itinerary

Arrive at Cairo International Airport where your guide will be waiting with a sign. Private transfer to your hotel for a relaxed first evening. Overnight in Cairo.

Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to Egypt’s greatest collection of ancient treasures. Continue to the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, with time for photos and panoramic viewpoints. Lunch in a traditional Egyptian restaurant. Overnight in Cairo.

Travel by private car to Alexandria (approx. 2–2.5 hours). Spend the day exploring the exciting and historical fascinations that Alexandria has to offer, enjoying its Mediterranean charm and cultural heritage. Return to Cairo for an overnight stay. Overnight in Cairo.

Check out after breakfast. Explore Old Cairo, wandering through its atmospheric lanes, historic buildings, and ancient streets that reflect centuries of Egyptian culture. Transfer to Cairo Airport or train station  for your journey to Aswan. Board your Nile cruise boat and settle in for the evening. Overnight on the cruise in Aswan.

Visit the High Dam, then take a short boat ride to the beautiful island temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis. After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo and explore the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus, including the crocodile museum. Continue sailing to Edfu. Overnight on board in Edfu.

Take a horse and carriage to Edfu Temple, one of the bestpreserved temples in Egypt. Sail towards Luxor, passing through the Esna Lock. Arrive in Luxor late afternoon and visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Overnight on board in Luxor.

Check out after breakfast. Explore the West Bank of Luxor:

• Valley of the Kings – richly decorated royal tombs.

• Hatshepsut’s Temple – the iconic terraced temple of Egypt’s powerful female pharaoh, built dramatically into the cliffs.

• Alabaster Workshop – meet the family whose ancestor, a young water boy, famously discovered the first step leading to Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. Their workshop continues the same traditional craft passed down through generations.

• Colossi of Memnon – two towering statues guarding the ancient necropolis.

Enjoy a homecooked lunch with the Eldeak family, then check in to the Eldeak Hotel. Overnight in Luxor.

Visit Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Ramesses III with its vivid, wellpreserved reliefs. Continue to Deir elMedina, the ancient village of the craftsmen who built and decorated the royal tombs — one of Luxor’s most atmospheric and insightful archaeological sites. Lunch with the Eldeak family. Late afternoon sunset felucca sail on the Nile — peaceful, traditional, and atmospheric. Dinner on the hotel rooftop. Overnight at Eldeak Hotel.

Early 7am departure. Visit Denderah Temple, dedicated to Hathor, with its vibrant astronomical ceiling and beautifully preserved reliefs. Continue to Hurghada, arriving around 2pm. Check in, enjoy lunch, and relax by the pool or beach. Overnight in Hurghada.

• Snorkelling with dolphins (boat trip)

• Orange Bay island visit with snorkelling
