Meet the founders
A husband-and-wife team who fell in love with Egypt long before they turned it into a business.
Adele Ellis
Co-Founder
Adele has visited Egypt many times over the years, and it has become her favourite destination, despite also being well travelled elsewhere. A children's social worker for over 30 years, Adele is a warm and caring person with an eye for detail and a keen interest in helping others.
She is also a keen amateur photographer, responsible for many of the photographs used across our site.
Favourite experience: Visiting Hatshepsut's Temple on Luxor's West Bank, the temple of Egypt's only female pharaoh.
Martin Ellis
Co-Founder
Martin is also a frequent visitor to Egypt, where he has enjoyed many experiences including the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, as well as Nile cruising and the West Bank attractions in Luxor.
He is a retired chef who enjoys all the varied tastes of Egypt.
Favourite experience: The Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which he highly recommends to every guest.

Ahmed Eldeak: not just an Egyptologist - he is family!
Ahmed is our exclusive partner in Egypt, an established, trustworthy guide and businessman from Luxor, where he lives with his family. As a qualified Egyptologist, he is knowledgeable in all things Egyptian, from local and national customs and traditions to his extensive expertise in Ancient Egypt.
A licensed guide for many years, Ahmed first met Adele as a tour guide before later being introduced to Martin. What began as a professional relationship quickly grew into something much deeper. Through shared adventures, long days exploring Egypt, and countless moments of laughter and learning, they formed a bond that has lasted for years.
They have visited each other's homes, shared meals, celebrated milestones, and supported one another through life's challenges. Today, Ahmed is a true part of the Ellis family, and they are part of his.
